APL Children’s Author Series: Robert Feagan

Supported by Young Alberta Book Society – Taleblazers program

APL and the TALEBLAZERS program present a special visit from professional writer Robert Feagan!

For grades 3-4

In celebration of TALEBLAZERS, a program that facilitates meaningful connections between Albertan students and Albertan authors, storytellers, illustrators, poets, and playwrights, Airdrie Public Library is excited to welcome Robert Feagan. Robert is an author from the northern region of Canada. His audiences have been enraptured by the sounds of Inuit throat singing, carvings, beadwork, harpoons, and many other aspects of northern life they have not encounter elsewhere. His entertaining stories of life growing up in the north and personal experiences with animals such as muskox and polar bear provide an unforgettable addition to students' education on the north.
His most recent book, Arctic Thunder, is recommended by the Canadian Children's Book Centre in their guide "Best Books for Kids and Teens in 2010."
