Airdrie Knitters Group
Think knitting is a dying hobby? Think again!
Knitting and other fibre arts are more popular than ever; just ask the 1,171,314 members of Ravelry, the online community for knitters, crocheters, spinners, and weavers. Members of Ravelry come together from all over the world to talk about all things fibre. We participate in KALs (Knit-a-longs), share our current WIPs (works in progress) and FOs (finished objects) and belong to groups of like-minded members. There are groups for GLEEKS (fans of GLEE! who love to knit), for knitters who indulge in their hobby as they ride public transit, and knitters who own West Highland White Terriers. There's even a group for knitters from Airdrie!
This library-sponsored program is for experience knitters and those looking to learn the basics in a social atmosphere. No registration required.
