We’re in Overdrive at APL! Overdrive is our new online tool for accessing downloadable digital media. Digital media is an inclusive term for both audiobooks and digital ebooks. Overdrive comes to us via the Marigold Regional Library system and just as you can use your library card to search our online catalogue of books, CDs, DVDs, etc, you can now access and download audiobooks and ebooks right to your iPod©, MP3 player, computer or an ebook reader like the Sony© Reader.

Once you access the catalogue, you can place holds and checkout or renew items as you would other Library materials, including the latest bestsellers from authors like Nora Roberts, Dan Brown, and James Patterson. The online catalogue has digital media for all ages and all interests. Two types of audiobooks are offered:  the classic WMA files that will play only in Windows or MP3 files that are compatible with both MAC and Windows. MP3’s will also play on your iPod© so you can take your latest book with you!
