The Beehive
Here is the beehive. (hold up fist)
Where are the bees?
Hidden away where nobody sees.
Watch as they come out of the hive --
One, two, three, four, five.
(extend each finger as you count)
They’re alive! BZZZ!
(make buzzing sound and tickle child)
Grandfather Clock
The Grandfather clock goes tick, tock, tick, tock, tick tock (Rock side to side to the slow rhythm)
The kitchen clock goes tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock (Rock faster)
Mummy’s/Daddy’s little watch goes TickaTickaTickaTickaTickaTickaTicka!
(Jiggle as fast as you can OR tickle all over)
Criss Cross Applesauce
(Sit child with his back to you)
Criss cross (Draw X on child's back)
Applesauce (Pat his shoulders to the rhythm of the word)
Spiders crawling up your spine
(Run fingers up child's back)
A spider here, a spider there
(Touch child's head in two different places)
Now there’s spiders in your hair!
(Gently run fingers through child’s hair)
Tight squeeze (Hug child)
Cool breeze (Gently blow on child's head)
Now you've got the shiverees!
(Tickle child all over)
