Mental Health Out Loud Art Show

In partnership with Rocky View School District

This year, MHCB Stepping Stones to Mental Health invited Rocky View Schools students in grades 9-12 to participate in the 13th annual Mental Health Out Loud art contest. The goal of this contest is to reduce stigma related to mental illness and to encourage communities to maintain their mental health, as well as support others. Students were invited to submit original artwork that represents their vision and experience of mental health and mental illness. This contest is aimed at reducing stigma around mental illness and encourages people to maintain their own mental health while also supporting others. 

Through the contest, students used their self-expression to explore personal resiliency skills and sent messages about how they feel about mental health. The winning artwork from this contest will be on display in Makerspace from May 6-10th for you to come and see it and cast a vote on your favourite.
