Airdrie Conflict Skills and Healthy Relationships Workshop Series
These 6, 3-hour sessions will be used to help the Airdrie Community to increase knowledge about healthy communication practices and conflict management techniques. These skills will be gained through:

Session 1 – Basic Conflict Management Training - This three-hour session will provide attendees with the basic understanding that although conflict is inevitable, combat is optional. Attendees will learn about the Conflict Style Inventory, the differences between empathy and sympathy and tested practices to separate the person from the problem.

Session 2 – 6 – These three-hour sessions will cover the Red Cross Respected Healthy Relationships program to help understand the concepts of:

Boundaries

Assertive communication

Consent

Defining aspects of an unhealthy relationship

Developing a Personal Safety Plan

This workshop is designed for teens and adults.
