Advocates for APL

The Advocates for APL have partnered with TruEarth to fundraise for the library. Have you heard of TruEarth laundry strips?  Each strip packs ultra-concentrated, hypoallergenic, eco-friendly cleaning power into a tiny, pre-measured strip of liquidless laundry detergent that you just toss in the wash. Don’t forget to check out their other eco-friendly products, too!

Who we are

We are a group of volunteers from all walks of life, all ages and backgrounds who share a commitment to our community. We believe Airdrie’s library is key to our community’s health and well-being.

What we do

The Advocates are Airdrie Public Library’s friends group. We are active in the community – talking about the library, its programs, its resources and its value to our city.  We fundraise to add new services, materials and equipment to the library for the benefit of everyone. We are passionate about literacy, lifelong learning and community connections. We constantly imagine and explore new ideas that will build a better Airdrie. We invite everyone to attend our regular meetings. We offer many ways for individuals to contribute, from serving on the executive and/or committees to volunteering at events in which we are involved.

Time commitment
Regular monthly meetings are the second Tuesday of the month from 7:00 – 8:30pm at Airdrie Public Library (excluding July and December).

We also ask that you volunteer throughout the year at fundraising and promotional events.
